THE "EVOLUTION" OF KORDZ

KORDZ® is a relative newcomer to the AV interconnect market.  Founded in Australia in 2003 by David Meyer, a lifetime audio and home cinema enthusiast, it embraces what many brands seem to increasingly overlook - the fundamental and unchangeable laws of physics.  The principle design of every KORDZ® cable extends to the harnessing of these 'laws' for best performance, achievable through intelligent cable geometry and construction, using only the best of materials.  The result is unquestionable value for money.

To stand out in the marketplace one must offer a point of difference.  For some brands this seems to result in marketing claims which suggest a 'bending' of the laws of physics.  They get away with it of the basis that most people don't really know any different, but hey, the claims sound impressive!  Some AV forums on the internet even have a name for this method of marketing - "Cable Voodoo".  So how can you tell if a company is indulging in cable voodoo?  Unfortunately it's not so easy to tell, but a good place to start is to see whether the brand offers specifications to back up their claims, which so many don't make available. KORDZ® relies only on quality and integrity for its success, with disclosure of all relevant data - no Voodoo claims.

David  has been directly involved in the home cinema industry for several years, both with storefront and online retail sales, and with custom design and installations.  His applied experience with a wide range of home cinema products from "home-theatre-in-a-box" systems right through to projection cinema systems complete with integrated multi-room AV, has enabled him to compare the real differences that quality cabling can make.  He has invested a great deal of time in assembling cables of various origin for vastly different applications, even experimenting with different solders and application temperatures for optimum results.  All of this research and broadband experience has lead to the design of the KORDZ® range.

All KORDZ® cables are exclusively designed in Australia.  The offshore KORDZ® factory maintains the highest standard of quality control, from material selection to the production process, and final product presentation.  For example, all KORDZ® cables go through a process of copper extrusion which ensures a thorough drying of the purified H2O (as used to rinse and fast-cool the extruded OFC) prior to dielectric encasing or silver plating.  You may shrug your shoulders at the relevance of this, but surprisingly many brands trap small quantities of water in and around the cables' core, leading to harmful oxidization. KORDZ® techniques ensure that the standard of OFC used remains pure for years, free from internal oxidization. 

The copper used in every cable is at least OFC standard.  All models employ a high purity proprietary blend of US and Japanese OFC in all speaker cables and interconnect models.  All AV cables use the same high grade of low capacitance nitrogen injected polyethylene for their dielectrics, along with 100% screen double shielding across the range.
