CEDIA Expo 2007 proves to be a big success. It provided the platform for the official release of the new much anticipated range of Kordz Evolution and Evolution-S AV interconnect series. Also revealed were the first working samples of the new IR repeater system and AV baluns, but the biggest hit for the show proved to be the HDMI over CAT5E/6 solution.

This innovatibve new product enables the economical extension of a full HDMI signal over two parallel CAT5E or CAT6 UTP cables. Performance is excellent, with capability for full 1080p-60Hz over 28m of CAT5E or a huge 40m over CAT6, both terminated with standard RJ45 plugs. 5V power is required to the sink (display) end, not required if the display used is capable of supplying 5V output via its HDMI input. Stocks are expected late August 2007.

The new Cinema IQ range of budget interconnects finally allows a higher level of performance at the lower end of the price range. Models include component video, s-video, composite/coax digital, SCART, TOSlink, subwoofer/mono, stereo audio, RF aerial and 3.5mm audio options. Lengths range from as little as 0.75m to a huge 20m, depending on model. For more information, contact the Kordz team via our contact page, or visit www.cinemaiq.com to download the initial catalogue.

Also revealed was the newly developed Kordz and/or Cinema IQ slat wall display modules, available for retailers to display Kordz products. Send us an email via our contact page for more info.
