The KORDZ® CAT-CMX Balun permits the transmission of interlaced or progressive scan component video, along with S/PDIF coaxial digital audio, over a single CAT5E UTP or STP, terminated with RJ45 connectors. Totally passive in design, the balun works with a combination of high quality internal transformers and critical wiring configuration to maximize performance and minimize unwanted noise and distortion.
The send receive pair are non-directional, so are not dependant on source/sink placement. If stereo audio is required along with component video, simply parallel a CAT-CAV (below).
