TOSlink Optical
TOSlink optical is the most popular choice for the interconnectivity of digital audio, including both uncompressed PCM digital, as well as compressed digital audio formats such as Dolby Digital™ and DTS®. The standard construction of a TOSlink optical interconnect a 1mm polyfiber core of various quality levels, lightly polished and terminated with a TOSlink connector, either plastic or metal (the latter generally being better). The Kordz EVO TOSLink is a shining example of such construction, done so with exquisite attention to detail and quality. The EVS goes one step further with a multi-stranded core for even greater bandwidth potential, but finished with the same EVO series connector.
