SCART – YPBPR + Audio
This unique interconnect permits the sourcing of component video and analogue stereo audio from a SCART-enabled video source such as a Satellite TV box (eg Foxtel/Pace in Australia with "YUV" supporting firmware), all in a high quality EVS package. The advantage of the EVS series over the EVO series lies with the higher resolution yield due to the silver plating on the primary conductors.
Alternatively a switch on the SCART connector changes the input mode to SCART, making the cable suitable for use with a regular RCA equipped AV source device, to connect to a TV with component video supporting SCART input. As the RGB video channels in a SCART connector are bi-directional the switch only influences the directionality of the audio channels.
